Brakes share the same lubrication system with the gear unit. We recommend using a hydraulic-type mineral oil with an ISO VG 32 viscosity for input speeds greater than 1000 rpm, especially during continuous operation. If the input speed is lower than 1000 rpm or for intermittent operation, use oil with an ISO VG 150 viscosity. Do not use vegetable oils.
The lubrication oil temperature should be less than 90°C. If the temperature exceeds this limit, forced cooling is required. The oil pressure should be less than 2 bar. For forced cooling, follow the instructions provided in the diagram.
