In the realm of Worm Gearboxes, including Worm Reduction Gear Boxes, Worm Speed Reducers, and Gear Motor Manufacturing, an exceptional design is employed where three to eleven gear teeth are typically in contact with the worm, contingent upon the ratio. This elevated number of gear teeth engaged with the worm not only substantially augments torque capacity but also enhances shock load resistance. By maximizing the number of driven gear teeth in interaction with the worm, these devices significantly enhance the contact area on each gear tooth. The real-time contact areas between the worm threads and the driven gear tooth form lines. These contact lines traverse the face of the gear tooth during its complete meshing duration with the worm. The uniquely configured lines of contact in double-enveloping worm gearing are designed to amplify power transmission efficiency and minimize stress on each gear tooth.
This system features two shafts intersecting at 90°, with an input speed not exceeding 1500 rpm. The operational environment temperature should be maintained between 0 and 40 °C. Should the temperature dip below 0 °C or rise above 40 °C, pre-operational heating or cooling of the lubricating oil is necessary. The worm shafts can reverse, allowing for positive operation adjustments.
