In a Worm Gearbox, Worm Reduction Gear Box, Worm Speed Reducer, and Gear Motor, three to eleven gear teeth typically engage with the worm, depending on the ratio. This increased engagement significantly boosts torque capacity and shock load resistance. Additionally, it enhances the contact area on each gear tooth. The actual contact points between the worm threads and the driven gear tooth are lines, which move across the gear tooth's surface as it meshes with the worm. In double-enveloping worm gearing, these lines are designed to improve power transmission and minimize stress on each gear tooth.
Operational Conditions
Two shafts intersect at 90°, with an input speed limit of 1500 rpm. The operational temperature should be between 0°C and 40°C. When temperatures fall below 0°C or exceed 40°C, appropriate heating or cooling of the lubricating oil is essential before starting. The worm shafts can reverse, allowing positive operation.
